Abba Kyari

I don’t know why some people condemn gathering at Late Abba Kyari’s funeral. This calls to question whether we want to run a communist state or capitalist one.

Abba Kyari was a senior citizen & statesman, his burial couldn’t have been same with that of others

This is capitalism.

Capitalism is made this way to encourage all of us, including YOU reading this text, to work harder and get to stage of privilege and recognition.

Not to seat in one corner with your keyboard and feel entitled like other good citizens who have worked hard to earn a privileged.

The Kaduna students’ rescue is one episode of many rescues of people—many of them children—from harsh Islamic schools in Northern Nigeria, as Nigerian authorities launched a crackdown on informal Islamic schools and rehabilitation centers in September. Nearly 1,500 people have been rescued in schools in Kaduna, Daura, Ilorin and Ibadan.

In Daura, Katsina State, 300 men, including drug addicts, were rescued on October 14, where they were chained and sexually abused. Other reformatory Islamic schools in Ilorin, Western Nigeria, and Ibadan and southwestern Nigeria were also raided and closed recently.

Female Child Abuse: Rape Cases In Nigeria.

Muhammad Aminu, HND IIA 18/39675

Rape cases in Nigeria are on the increase and at very alarming rate.  Reports of rapes are in the newspapers every day. It is heart-breaking to know that children and even adults live with such terror. Despite what is reported, there are still many unreported cases because of the stigma associated with the act.  Most rape victims suffer trauma, inability to forge meaningful relationships with the opposite sex, unwanted pregnancies and sexually transmitted diseases. People have to understand that rape causes a lot of damage to women. It increases their chances of getting HIV/AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases, causes mental disorder and a feeling of low self-esteem. We need to accept that it is a social problem that needs our collective commitment. Professionals, health workers and law enforcement agencies have emphasised that systemic silencing of victims/survivors contribute to the menace.

A good number of perpetrators of rape move about freely on the streets after committing the heinous act due to poor investigation and inherent defects in the criminal justice system. Reporting this crime is the safest way of preventing others from becoming victims. Ignoring the issue will also teach the younger generation that they can get away with such crimes. Victims should learn to speak up, as in so doing, the crime can be tackled. Sadly, our rape conviction numbers are abysmally low against the prevalence of rape in our country. Rape victims should get justice and they should also undergo some form of rehabilitation. Children should be sensitised on how to react when they are touched inappropriately.  It is time for the nation to stand  up against the crime. We need to do something about it now.

Disco Saga!

ThievingDISCOs

This man superintended the signing of the demonic power roadmap that had a criminal clause, where any attempt by Nigeria to terminate the DISCO arrangee, the country will cough out a whopping $8Billion (that is N2.68Trillion) as damages.

Imagine the economic enslavement, what part of the useless agreement terminates the failures of the DISCOs for distributing pitch darkness to Nigerians?

Damn the consequences, terminate the idiots. They stole our land and we put jara for them.

WhatTheHeck

From A Former Buharist!

Truth be told, I think Governor Zullum is wrong in the way he confronts the soldiers whenever BH attacks civilian targets. BH are constantly on the move. They do not stay in one place for too long to avoid being detected by our Airforce.

Our soldiers are the ones fighting this war and I am sure they won’t take it kindly if a civilian who does not know anything about fighting a war constantly embarrasses them in public. Money cannot replace the sacrifice these soldiers go through to keep us safe. The least we can do is show them some respect.

If Governor Zullum feels things are not going the way they should he should document his misgivings and seek a private audience with the President. The President himself being a retired general will frown at the way Zullum addresses his troops in public. The mistake any governor can make is to rebuke a commanding officer in the presence of his subordinates and in public. The humiliation will be too much to bear.

Without intending to sound callous Nigerian civilians do not obey simple instructions. Everybody knows Borno State is a war zone. The military being in charge of security we are bound to obey instructions they issue out because it is for our own protection. If the instruction is no vehicle should be allowed into Maiduguri after 5pm why should anybody disobey such an instruction?

BH is frustrated at this moment. Their senior commanders are being eliminated by our military, they don’t have the capability to hold on to any territory. They have been reduced to banditry, raiding villages for food supplies. Out of frustration they turn their guns on civilians. We should understand the situation they are in. They cannot inflict casualties on our military so out of frustration kill civilians.

Whether we like to believe it or not BH has been degraded from a fighting force to bandits scrounging for food. It is the height of ingratitude to call on the person who is responsible for degrading BH to this level to resign.
